Installing the app
Device Compatibility
The Safety Cloud app works with most modern Android and Apple phones and tablets:
- Android devices must support Android version 8 or greater (released August 2017)
- Apple devices must support iOS 9 or greater (released Sep 2015)
If you want to check compatibility before purchasing devices please contact us help@safetycloud.com and we will assist. Older devices are likely to be unsupported by their manufacturers and therefore will not be receiving any security updates so we would recommend replacing them.
Devices must ensure they have a internet browser installed to use the Safety Cloud 2 App.
App Access
The app will have all its functions available to dashboard managers. Modules accessible via the app are: Accidents and Ill health, Audits, Safety Audits, Staff Safety Observations and Work Equipment Checks. All other work required on any other modules will need to be conducted through the web browser version of the software. Non managers will not be able to use the app unless they have been assigned a flex audit or given granular access to one of the app modules by one of the Safety Cloud admins. To grant granular access for specific staff please email help@safetycloud.com.
Staff members access while using the app is controlled through the web browser Safety Cloud 2 Staff Management Module.
iOS Text Size - please ensure the text size is set at the default otherwise you will find that text will disappear off screen
Finding Our App
You can find our app for Android devices in the Google Play store and for iOS devices in the App Store either by clicking on the relevant icon below or by searching for 'Safety Cloud 2' please do not install the older 'Safety Cloud' app as it incompatible.
You may be prompted to give the Safety Cloud app permissions to have access to the device camera and to the device's internal storage. Just tick yes when the prompt appears on screen. You can also amend this retrospectively by clicking on the device Settings menu, select Apps and locate the Safety Cloud app. Click on permissions and you will see Camera and Storage. This may vary depending on device. If you have any trouble please contact us.
